Ana Paula Merheb
Physiotherapist - Pelvic Health, Ortho & Seniors
Ana Merheb is a Registered Physiotherapist in Calgary with more than 15 years of experience helping patients restore mobility, manage pain, and return to the activities they love. Her practice focuses on pelvic health physiotherapy, complemented by expertise in musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopaedic, and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. She has worked in both clinical and home care settings, giving her a broad perspective on patient needs across different stages of recovery and health.
Ana’s career began in Brazil, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and completed postgraduate training in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. After relocating to Canada in 2015, she completed the Physical Therapy Bridging Certificate Program at the University of Alberta, and in 2025, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and Certificate in Rehabilitation Administration from the University of Montana.
She has pursued extensive pelvic health training across Brazil, Canada, and the United States, developing expertise in urinary incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain and surgical care, pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation.
Alongside her pelvic health specialization, Ana brings extensive experience treating musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, sports injuries, chronic pain, and biomechanical dysfunctions, as well as guiding patients through recovery after total hip and knee replacement, shoulder, and spinal surgeries. She also supports individuals with neurological and cardiorespiratory conditions, and is dedicated to optimizing seniors’ health and independence.
Ana’s approach is deeply patient-centered — she takes time to listen, understand individual goals, and design treatment plans that are both evidence-based and empowering. By combining manual therapy, customized exercise programs, and education, she ensures patients feel supported and confident throughout their recovery journey. She believes that movement is medicine and is committed to helping every patient unlock their physical potential and improve their quality of life.
Outside of her practice, Ana enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, especially through road trips and nature adventures.
